QWO - Cellulite Reduction
What Is QWO?
It's been a while since a new treatment has been approved by the FDA to help tackle cellulite.
The QWO injectable cellulite treatment is the first FDA-Approved injectable cellulite treatment capable of removing unsightly cellulite on the buttocks whether it's light, moderate, or severe.
QWO (collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes) is a groundbreaking injectable treatment that can smooth cellulite away faster and more effectively than ever.
Does QWO Work for Cellulite?
QWO works its magic in three different ways. First by releasing fibrous bands, second by redistributing fat cells, and lastly by stimulating the growth of new collagen.
Those little Cellulite 'dips' occur around pockets of fat.
Cellulite appears as a result of the septae (connective tissue made up of collagen) tightening the skin to the muscles with fat wedged between them. It's not saggy skin as some mistakenly believe.
QWO works as an enzymatic. It helps disrupt and break down the fibers that are responsible for the creation of cellulite. From there, fat cells are redistributed and it helps stimulate the production of new collagen.
QWO is made from collagenases. It's a type of enzyme that breaks down the peptide bonds in collagen, which is a real game-changer for women battling cellulite.
Who Is a QWO Candidate?
Cellulite is more common than most people may think. Don't let Photoshop fool you. More than 90% of women get cellulite on their legs and buttocks.
Most women who have cellulite on their buttocks are candidates for QWO cellulite treatments.
How Long Does QWO Last?
There is no evident longevity of QWO, but you will start seeing visible results after your first session. For optimal results you should complete a series of 3 QWO treatments.
Although the treatment is quick and has little to no downtime, it is still a very effective procedure that can yield remarkable results.
The effects of QWO can last for months after the injections are complete.
Over time and with adequate treatments, you will begin to see great improvement in the appearance of your cellulite.
On average, results will appear within 3 weeks.
How Many QWO Treatments Are Needed?
The number of treatments you need to see the complete results of QWO injections will vary from person to person.
To receive optimal results, you will likely need to complete a series of 3 sessions, each spaced 21 days apart.
The main factor to consider is how severe your cellulite is. The more severe, the more likely you are to require more treatments and therefore it'll take longer til you achieve your desired results.
There is technically no limit to the number of dimples you can treat in a single session. It's dependent on the consultation and the discretion of the provider.
QWO can effectively target collagen types 1 and 3 found in the fibrous bands by releasing the dimples, giving the surrounding skin a smoother surface.
Is QWO Permanent?
QWO can work for a long time. Although the results can remain for months or even years, It is still unknown if QWO is a permanent treatment as the product has only been on the market for a short period of time.
If you notice the dimpling in your buttocks returning, you should speak with a professional and discuss the possibility of additional injections.
What Areas Can be Treated With QWO?
Women can use QWO to treat cellulite in their buttocks.
It's important to keep in mind that you will not see your true results right after your first treatment.
It will take about 3 weeks for you to see the results of the first treatment, and about 3 sessions to see desired results. It helps to look at QWO cellulite treatment before and after photos to see the difference during that span of time.
There also other areas of the body that could be treated such as the legs, however those would be considered off-label treatment areas.
After receiving a QWO injection you may experience soreness, bruising, and swelling around the injection site that could appear immediately after or in the following days.
Other side effects may include redness, pain, itching, warmth, and discoloration.
The bruising and other side effects could last up to 2-3 weeks after each treatment.
You may take Tylenol or Ibuprofen to ease any minor discomfort. The most severe risk is the formation of nodules, which is a very rare occurrence.
Since QWO is a new treatment, long-term safety has not yet been confirmed despite the company's extensive clinical trials. The clinical trials for QWO involved the participation of almost 2000 women, the largest test group of any FDA-approved injectable cellulite treatment.
Can QWO be Combined With Other Treatments?
There is not enough data available yet to determine whether it is safe to use with other treatments.
Because the results from QWO will take time, it is best to be patient and to allow the injected ingredients before combining other treatments. If the desired results are not achieved after one session additional sessions should be pursued before trying a completely different treatment.
It's important to wait at least 3 weeks or 21 days after your last QWO treatment before pursuing other methods to combat your cellulite.
